Making calenders for an imaginary holy power is hard

but!...

i *think* i have some of the kinks worked out. i don't know until i start to plan the actuall thing out. this may or may not be revised. but here is what i have so far:

Months: there are thirteen months on in an Element year; one for every Vital. the Vitals do NOT include Life herself, an improved setup. the Vitals and their months are listed (however, not in chronological order):

Hora- time
Cruor- blood
Aqua- water
Incendia- fire
Conscientia- consciousness
Caro-flesh
Anima- soul
Aer- air
Mentis- mind
Sententia- (thought) Intelligence
Affectus- emotion
Res- being

Days: the Elemental calender was to fallow a normal seven day week flow. but since everything happens to the Line of Life in thirteens and in eights, it would be reasonable to say that there are eight days in an element week.

LifeDay: Vitaas
Sunday- Solsulis
Monday- Luneus
Tuesday- Mahars
Wednesday- Maecurae
Thursday- Jaereepaex
Friday- Vaenuuaes
DeathDay: Morotaes

Saturday has become obsolete, replaced with Life and Death. the other fallow the olden roman "naked Eye" planets: Sun, Moon, Mars, Murcury, Jupiter, Venus.

the names of the week days are the name to the Dragon charge of that Planet:

((i've probably said this before, but if a dragon name does not have a two to four latter prename, the dragon is male. Example: SaSolsulaes= Male Lunaraeah= Female. only exceptions are Nex and Terro, whom were born/created before the tradition ensued.))

***= the "extra" month.

Note: the order above was an attempt to order the Elements in both Necessity in Life and in what month goes best with each Vital (IE: April for Water, Terra for June, ETC) at the same time. i don't think i accomplished that.

December of 2009:

vital Day: the thirteenth of the thirteenth month. (which on a twelve month calender would work in favor of the R.D.R. 18 pattern since there would be 18 days to the end of the year from the thirteenth. this, sadly, is lost on the Element calender.)

Holidays: Devils Day, Death Day, (Adopted Human) joy Day (aka: Christmas)

Date and short description of said holidays:

Devils Day: the 21/22 on normal calender(dependent of the year) (elemental day has not been calculated yet.) Devils Day is the Day the Four Gardians (Fire, Blood, Gold, and Black), known as the original R.D.R. members, declared War on Vita. the R.D.R. celebrates this because it was the first time since Life's creation that Vita tried to back down from a fight. this was considered a small "victory" by the Red Dragon, Angelus, even though Vita soon took on their War. it is also celebrated amongst close R.D.R. members as Caim's birthday. Amongst the Caim line, the Blood family, and the two remaining Guardians, the day is celebrated by a huge castle party/"ball" with food, elaborate decorations, music, and teasing the birthday boy XD


Death Day: the 31st on the Human/normal, last day of the year. the end of the year, the "death" of the year. not much is done for this holiday for the Line of Life, but the Line of Death normally gather in Morto Terris (death Land/Hell) and thrown "unique" celebrations. some Elements even get drunken and have to be contained. ((the same thing could be said of Vox on Devils Day <.< ))


Joy Day: the 25th of the Human/normal calender. known to (most) humans as "Christmas". this is a newly adopted Elemental holiday, but the traditions are different. Elementals simply gather the entire family in one cave and exchange memories, stories, good humor, teachings, and enjoy each other company. this is why it is known as "Joy Day" for the immense amount of joy it (normally) brings.
